2022 Virtual annual meeting video presentation

Fayette Electric Cooperative hosts its annual membership meeting on the third Wednesday in July each year. Notification of the meeting is provided to each member by written notice in advance of the meeting date.

Join us to celebrate our people, their purpose and your power. Hear the stories of the men and women whose shared purpose is to empower those we serve. They are the boots on the ground who represent your cooperative in our communities while delivering on our promise of providing you reliable, affordable electricity each and every day. Join us to meet the people behind your power.

In June, members will receive a ballot in the mail. With this ballot you will be able to vote for directors in the three districts that are up for election this year. Your mail-in ballot will also qualify you to be entered in the drawing for annual meeting door prizes.

Members are receiving their official notice via USPS. The 2021 Annual Report will be posted to this website and will be included in the July 2022 issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine.

On the afternoon of July 20, members will be able to view the annual meeting video presentation on this webpage. In the video, you will hear the manager’s message and the director election results, and you will get to enjoy interviews from several of our retired and long-time employees as well. Winners of the door prize drawings will be posted to this webpage July 21.

In November, Fayette Electric Cooperative will celebrate our 85th anniversary. In the May issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine, you may have read the article “Lightbulb Moments for Those Who Have Gone Before Us.” That article featured several retired employees and directors who worked for the cooperative for 30 years or more. We plan to continue featuring many of our retired and long-time employees in this issue and throughout the rest of the year.

You may recognize some faces of those who lived and worked in the same communities in which you live today. Many have passed on but many are still with us — some still work at the cooperative to this very day! We sincerely appreciate their dedication and many years of service. Without them we would not be where we are today, 85 years into this cooperative’s existence, still growing and still pushing forward to serve our members.

Meanwhile, please know that the employees and directors of Fayette Electric Cooperative have worked for the past 85 years with our members’ best interests in mind and will continue to do so for the next 85 years and beyond.
