Fluctuating Electric Bills?

The Average Payment Plan helps eligible residential Members manage their electric bills with predictable monthly payments. Each month, Members pay a fixed amount based on one-twelfth of their average annual usage, calculated from the past 13 months.

Every June, FEC will review the total amount the Member would have paid under standard billing, compare it to the total of the average payments made, and adjust the account accordingly. The monthly payment amount for the next 12 months will then be recalculated based on any changes in the Member’s average consumption.

To qualify, you must:

• Meet the Cooperative’s requirements for a Permanent Residential Dwelling or a Permanent Installation.
• Have received service from the Cooperative for the past 12 consecutive months as a Member at the service location
• Maintain a good payment history with not more than one delinquent payment in the last 12 months, and
• Have had no service disconnects for nonpayment during the past 12 months
