Fayette Electric Cooperative (FEC) is inviting members to apply for a vacancy on its Board of Directors for District 4, following the July 16 retirement of longtime director Leo C. Henke. Henke served the cooperative for 22 years, earning respect for his leadership, integrity, and dedication. The unexpired term for the position will run through July 2027.

District 4 covers members living in or near Praha, Moravia, Komensky, Breslau, Moulton, and areas north of Hallettsville. Board members serve as the voice of these communities, addressing member questions and representing their interests within the cooperative.

To be considered, applicants must be FEC members residing in District 4 and meet eligibility requirements outlined in Article IV, Section 4.02 of the bylaws, available at fayette.coop/bylaws.

Application forms are available online at fayette.coop/board or at the FEC headquarters, located at 2111 N. Von Minden Road in La Grange. Completed applications should be mailed to FEC, Attn: Rachel Barten, P.O. Box 490, La Grange, Texas 78945, or delivered in person to headquarters by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The Board will review applications and conduct interviews in September.
