SAFETY DEMONSTRATIONS

In addition to working to deliver safe and reliable electric power at a competitive price while supporting the communities in which we operate, Fayette Electric Cooperative also offers safety programs to promote electric safety.

Employees from Fayette Electric Cooperative use creative approaches and assistance from the Louie the Lightning Bug video and the Electric Junction, to teach children about electricity.

Arcing Demonstration at Progressive Ag Day

Apprentice Lineman Aaron Tonn demonstrates what happens when clothing touches a powerline

The Fayette County Fairgrounds was the site of the Annual Fayette County Progressive Ag Safety Day. The safety days are as fun as they are educational for over 250 Fayette County fifth-grade students who attended.

FEC Apprentice Linemen Aaron Tonn and Justin Whited, along with Safety Coordinator Larry Sulak presented the arcing demonstration.
