Since 1999, Fayette Electric Cooperative has granted scholarships to commendable high school graduates. The aim is to assist students during pivotal moments in their academic journey as they navigate decisions regarding college, degrees, and future careers. These scholarships are exclusively available to students whose parents or guardians permanently reside within FEC’s service area and are active cooperative members.

The recipients of the Fayette Electric Cooperative Academic Scholarship are as follows: Andrea Eckermann from Bellville High School; Alivia Eindorf from La Grange High School; Kelly McAfee from Weimar High School; and Brooke Wanjura from Columbus High School.

Additionally, Fayette EC is committed to aligning its scholarship offerings with the evolving educational paths of today’s students. In 2022, FEC introduced scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors intending to pursue accredited trade or technical institutions, certification programs, or associate in applied science programs at colleges or universities.

The Fayette Electric Trade and Technical School Scholarship recipients are Brigham Kelley from La Grange High School and Nathan Olsovsky from Schulenburg High School.

Gary Don Nietsche, General Manager of FEC, expressed, “For 25 years, the Fayette Electric Cooperative Scholarship program has disbursed $120,000 in scholarships to the children of Fayette EC members, embodying our commitment to community support. We are profoundly grateful to provide these scholarships to deserving students and offer them our heartfelt well-wishes for their future pursuits.”
