Mark your calendars for Fayette Electric Cooperative’s Annual Meeting of members on Wednesday, July 17.
The meeting will be held at the Knights of Columbus Community Center located at 190 South Brown St. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for registration with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Members who register between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. will receive a $10 energy credit, and have an opportunity to win one of many attendance door prizes that will be given during the meeting.
After registering, members can try their hand at the Lineman Skills Challenge, the Putting Green and the Plinko game for a chance to win additional prizes. Children attending the meeting with their parents and/or grandparents can take a photo at the Lineman Photo Prop Booth, and register for one of five children’s prize bags (for ages 10 and under).
A variety of cookies, lemonade and coffee will be served by members, leaders and parent-volunteers of the Fayette County 4-H Clubs.
The business meeting begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. In the Co-op’s board elections, FEC members will have an opportunity to cast their ballots to elect three directors. At district meetings held in May, David Lehmann, Joseph D. Kruppa, and James A. Anderle were nominated from their respective districts. As directors make decisions based on all matters of the Co-op, members are allowed to vote for all directors regardless of the district they reside in.
During the meeting, checks will be presented to the recipients of the CoBank Sharing Success Grant Program.
The July issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine, which contains the Annual Report and Annual Meeting Registration card, was mailed to all FEC members on June 27. Members are encouraged to bring the registration card and official door prize ticket, located on the back cover of the Annual Report, to the meeting. The Annual Report can also be read here.
