Fayette Electric Cooperative, Inc. has partnered with EXO to conduct an inspection and treatment project on wooden electrical poles within its service territory. The project is set to begin on January 6, 2025, in the Weimar area, including Holman, Dubina, New Bielau, Osage, and Oakland.
The inspection of steel and concrete poles is tentatively scheduled to begin in late February or early March. Crews will operate Monday through Saturday, working 10-hour days to ensure the project is completed efficiently.
EXO's team will include five to six crews traveling in gray Ford F-150 pickups marked with the EXO and FEC logos. They will also utilize ATVs with trailers to access poles across the cooperative’s service area. The crews will be outfitted in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety vests, steel-toed shoes, and gloves.
Members of Fayette Electric Cooperative or property owners in or near the cooperative’s service area are encouraged to contact Fayette Electric’s Operations Department with any questions or concerns regarding this project. Please call 979-968-3181 or 866-968-3181 for assistance.
