October is National Cooperative Month. This provides an opportunity for cooperatives to celebrate the benefits of cooperatives with their members and the community. As a special thank you to their members, Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative is teaming up with Fayette Electric Cooperative to host a Shred Day on October 4.
PROSHRED, a document shredding firm, will provide the on-site shredding truck to shred documents from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Fayette Electric Cooperative’s office located at 357 North Washington St. in La Grange, and from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative’s office located at 4915 South US Hwy 77, La Grange.
Free shredding of confidential documents will be provided up to three boxes per member. For additional boxes over the three limit, donations will be accepted in support of the following non-profit charitable organization: Children’s Advocacy Center and Turtle Wing Foundation.
Boxes may be no larger than 26.7” long x 15.7” wide. No boxes or containers of any kind may be left behind. All members participating in shredding services are required to remain with their items. No dropping off of items is allowed. Electronics, ink cartridges and cardboard will not be accepted.
